BCYF Mayor's Cup Youth Soccer Tournament To Be Held This Weekend

October is the month for great Boston youth soccer as the 2014 Mayor’s Cup Soccer Tournament takes place this weekend.  Sponsored by Comcast, teams throughout Boston participate in this citywide tournament to vie for the championship title in three divisions for boys and girls ages 8-14 (Girls, Boys U10, Girls, Boys U12, Girls, Boys U14.) 

The tournament is organized by Boston Centers for Youth & Families (BCYF,) the City of Boston’s largest youth and human service agency.  Games begin on Saturday, October 11th at 9 a.m. with the last game that day scheduled to start at 5 p.m.  On Sunday the 12th, games begin at 9 a.m. and end with a 3 p.m. game.  All games are played on the soccer fields at Millennium Park in West Roxbury.  Each division is formatted as a double elimination tournament with all teams being guaranteed at least two games.

Support for the Mayor’s Cup Soccer Tournament is also provided by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department.
