How to Celebrate National Poetry Month in Boston
April is National Poetry Month, and there are many ways you can celebrate!
Happy National Poetry Month! Every year, the City of Boston looks forward to bringing people together to celebrate and recognize the power of poetry. We have several ways you can get involved this month, and you can learn more on our Poetry Month page.
There will be plenty of opportunities to write your own poetry, and we encourage you to check out our Instagram page for videos from some familiar faces from the Boston-area reading their favorite poems in celebration! We are also celebrating the selected poets of the Mayor's Poetry Program, whose writing will be displayed in City Hall. There are events and workshops happening throughout the month, so there are plenty of ways to appreciate local poets!
