Text Amendment Application Nos. 533-536 Article 80 Modernization and Corresponding Amendments to the Boston Zoning Code Citywide Said amendments would amend the Boston Zoning Code (the "Code") with respect to modernizing Article 80, Development Review and Approval, by: updating Boston Civic Design Commission ("BCDС") thresholds and procedures; modernize communication methods; support conversions, sustainability upgrades, and reinvestment in existing buildings; harmonize the Code with existing process; improve citywide coordination and remove contradictions and improve usability.

ZONING HEARING

The Zoning Commission of the City of Boston hereby gives notice, in accordance with Chapter 665 of the Acts of 1956, as amended, that a virtual public hearing will be held on August 13, 2025, at 9 a.m., in connection with Text Amendment Application Nos. 533-536, filed by the City of Boston Planning Department. Said amendments would amend the Boston Zoning Code (the "Code") with respect to modernizing Article 80, Development Review and Approval, by: updating Boston Civic Design Commission ("BCDC") thresholds and procedures; modernize communication methods; support conversions, sustainability upgrades, and reinvestment in existing buildings; harmonize the Code with existing process; improve citywide coordination and; remove contradictions and improve usability.
