Construction Updates
Construction Updates- Complete new curbs and sidewalks on Brighton Street and Caldwell Street.
- Continue installing new curbs and sidewalks on Parker Street and Hadley Street.
Temporary parking restrictions and traffic patterns may be required during working hours, and are required to be signed at least 48 hours in advance. Please note all construction signage. The construction schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and other factors.
- Complete installing new drainage structures and new curbs on Brighton Street and Caldwell Street.
- Begin demolishing existing sidewalks on Hadley Street and installing new curbs.

- Complete installing new curb extensions on Brighton Street at Cambridge Street.
- Begin installing new drainage structures at Brighton Street and Caldwell Street.

- Begin installing new drainage structures on Brighton Street at Cambridge Street, and Hadley Street and Parker Street at Cambridge Street.

Project Highlights
- Reconstructing sidewalks, crosswalks, and ramps to be ADA-compliant to make walking and rolling accessible for everyone.
- Building curb extensions and raised crosswalks at intersections to improve safety by slowing turning vehicles and increasing visibility.
- Modernizing traffic signal equipment, adding Audible Pedestrian Signal buttons, and updating signal timing at the intersection of Cambridge Street and Parker Street.
- Install high-visibility striping, and add new signage in the project area.
- Incorporate green infrastructure by improving drainage and installing new tree pits planted with native species to support rainwater infiltration, reduce the urban heat island effect, and beautify the neighborhood.

To improve your safety and accessibility we will:
- Upgrade all curb ramps to be ADA-compliant and rebuild most sidewalks.
- Build curb extensions at intersections and widen sidewalks for shorter, more visible crossings.
- Repave the roadway and refresh all pavements markings for a smoother path of travel.
- Install 4 new tree pits to reduce the urban heat island effect and beautify the neighborhood.
- Upgrade and recalibrate signal equipment to improve the experience for all users.
Intersection of brighton street and cambridge street
To improve your safety and accessibility we will:
- Upgrade all curb ramps to be ADA-compliant and rebuild most sidewalks.
- Build curb extensions and a raised crosswalk with daylighting for shorter, more visible crossings.
- Repave the roadway and refresh all pavements markings for a smoother path of travel.
- Install 2 new tree pits to reduce the urban heat island effect and beautify the neighborhood.
