Namings and Dedications

Acquisitions
- The Parks and Recreation Commission, on behalf of the City of Boston, for the purpose of providing a park, in accordance with Article 97 of the Amendments to the Constitution of the Commonwealth, hereby authorizes the acceptance of the property located within Copley Square Park at the intersection of St. James Street, Dartmouth Street, and Boylston Street in the Back Bay neighborhood, comprising of a portion of Assessor’s Parcel no. 040108999 and consisting of approximately 2,402 square feet, identified as “Parcel F” on the plan described as L-9881, City of Boston Public Works Department Engineering Division; Land Transfer Plan; Copley Square, Boston Proper: February 26, 1968. The care, custody, management and control thereof is hereby transferred to the Boston Parks and Recreation Department.

Design Review
- Vote to approve a proposed building at One Joslin Place known as the Future Cancer Hospital, which is within 100 feet of Joslin Park in the Longwood Medical and Academic Area, as well as the associated pedestrian connectors over Brookline Avenue and Pilgrim Road, the modifications to the façades of the building situated at 440 Brookline Avenue and the building situated at 334 Riverway, and improvements to Joslin Place and Joslin Park, all as approved by the Boston Planning and Development Agency Board vote on July 12, 2025, with the proviso that the Parks Department will review the final construction documents submitted to the Inspectional Services Department for confirmation that the same are materially consistent with the plans submitted in connection with this vote. If the plans are not materially consistent, they may be referred back to the Parks Commission for further review.

Article 97 of the Amendments to the Constitution of the Commonwealth
- Vote to approve and consent to the City of Boston making a submission to EOEEA and petitioning the General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to permit the granting to, or taking by, the City of Boston acting by and through its Public Improvements Commission of a highway easement for said reconfiguration of Joslin Place and Joslin Park as depicted approximately as “Highway Easement Area” on that certain plan entitled “__________”, dated as of October __, 2025, and prepared by VHB, Inc., showing approximate acreage, location, and boundaries, and licensing in connection therewith to the owner of One Joslin Place and its air rights tenant for up to 54 months, for the reconfiguration of Joslin Place and Joslin Park, and associated site work and park improvements, and also involving areas within Joslin Park supporting the construction of the Future Cancer Hospital and the reconfigured Joslin Place and Joslin Park all of which is to be constructed by the owner of One Joslin Place and/or its air rights tenant.

Memorandum of Understanding
- To authorize the Commissioner of the Parks and Recreation Department to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the owner of One Joslin Place and its air rights tenant, addressing coordination of the reconfiguration of and final design of the improvements to Joslin Park, the licensed use of areas within Joslin Park supporting the staging for construction of the Future Cancer Hospital, and related matters, substantially on the terms provided on the Term Sheet for the Memorandum of Understanding with Regard to the Change In Use, Design and Construction of Joslin Park, Joslin Place and Deaconess Road dated October 2025 and subject to such limitations therein, prior to commencing said work.
