The Indigo Block Apartments project is located on a 120,238 square foot parcel in the Upham's Corner area of Dorchester. The longstanding building on the site was recently demolished in anticipation of redevelopment. The development team consists of Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation, Boston Capital and Escazu Development. The project entails 1 mixed-income building, 4 Homeownership buildings, and 1 light industrial building located in the Uphams Corner Neighborhood of Dorchester. The project will create 80 mixed income (57 affordable) rental units, 9 Market-Rate Homeownership units, and a 20,000sf of light industrial space. The project was awarded funds from DND and is currently applying for State subsidy. Construction is scheduled to start August 2019.
