1391    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Twelve Million Eight Hundred Fifty Five Thousand Dollars ($12,855,000.00) in the form of a grant, Bloomberg Philanthropies grant, awarded by Bloomberg Philanthropies, to be administered by the Office of Workforce Development. The grant would fund the Skilled Trades Initiative which aims to enhance vocational training, expand pre apprenticeship opportunities, and support students’ participation in Registered Apprenticeship programs. The initiative focuses on student persistence and completion, employer engagement, and program coordination to build pathways in the construction industry, water utility management, and other skilled trades. This will be administered in collaboration with Boston Public Schools.

1392    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend a grant award in the amount not to exceed Eight Hundred and Ten Thousand Dollars ($810,000.00) from the Boston Planning and Development Agency for the Phillips Square Project.

1393    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Two Hundred Fifty One Thousand Seven Hundred Eight Dollars ($251,708.00) in the form of a grant, Save America's Treasures, awarded by the National Park Service to be administered by the Office of Historic Preservation. The grant would fund an archaeological assemblage that was excavated from the Parker Harris Pottery Site in Boston's Charlestown neighborhood, for personal and maintenance costs on collections currently housed at the Archaeology Laboratory, and a consultant's fee.

1394    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Two Hundred Forty Thousand Eight Hundred Six Dollars and Fifty Cents ($240,806.50) in the form of a grant, the FY27 DMH CIT TTAC Grant, awarded by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health to be administered by the Police Department. The grant would fund the implementation of 40 hour Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training for officers under the umbrella of the Bureau of Professional Standards.

1395    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Two Hundred Twenty Five Thousand One Hundred Twenty Five Dollars and Eleven Cents ($225,125.11) in the form of a grant, the MBI Digital Equity Partnership Program, awarded by the United States Department of the Treasury, passed through the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, to be administered by the Department of Innovation & Technology. The grant would fund services and support for residents of the Commonwealth who cannot afford broadband service and/or internet connected devices or lack the digital literacy skills needed to utilize the internet.

1396    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) in the form of a grant, FY26 Fair Share Supplemental Funds, awarded by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation to be administered by the 

Public Works Department. The grant would fund the replacement of public safety lighting in the Brighton neighborhood in the City of Boston.

1397    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend a gift of 43 Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Units of various types valued at Eighty Four Thousand Two Hundred and Ten Dollars ($84,210.00) from FWC2026 US, Inc. This gift is awarded to the City of Boston through the Mayor’s Office for use in the public facilities of various departments across the City, including police stations, schools, and municipal offices.

1398    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Fifty Thousand Nine Hundred Seventy Eight Dollars ($50,978.00) in the form of a grant, the Federal FY26 Title III C Nutrition Services Program Grant, awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, passed through the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs, to be administered by the Age Strong Commission. The grant would fund nutrition services for older adults in the City of Boston.

1399    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Twenty Three Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty Dollars ($23,860.00) in the form of a grant, the Federal FY26 Title III A Area Plan Administration Grant, awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, passed through the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs, to be administered by the Age Strong Commission. The grant would fund costs for the administration of Title III programs.

1400    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Eighteen Thousand One Hundred Sixteen Dollars ($18,116.00) in the form of a grant, Federal FY26 Title III D Disease Prevention & Health Promotion, awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, passed through the Massachusetts Executive Office of Elder Affairs, to be administered by the Age Strong Commission. The grant would fund services that assist older adults in Boston to prevent illness and manage chronic conditions.
