PFD – MATTAHUNT SCHOOL EXTERIOR WORK

The City of Boston acting by its Public Facilities Commission, through its Director of the Public Facilities Department, 26 Court Street, Boston MA 02108, hereinafter referred to as the Awarding Authority, hereby invites sealed bids for the Mattahunt School Exterior Work project. The estimated construction cost for this project is $3,355,443.

The scope of work is further detailed in the specifications and includes furnishing and installation of new drainage systems, play equipment, asphalt paving, concrete and associated base courses, fencing and gates, and miscellaneous site furnishings. Furnishing and installation of landscape improvements, including trees, shrubs and play equipment.

Project Location: 100 Hebron Street Mattapan Massachusetts 02126

Expected contract duration is for 492 days. Prevailing wages shall apply.

Pre-Bid Meeting: June 23, 2026, 3:30 p.m., at 100 Hebron Street Mattapan, MA 02126

*Pre-Bid meeting will be on site and virtual. Link will be provided via addendum.

General contractors must submit all general bids with the Awarding Authority at the Bid Counter, 26 Court Street, 1st Floor, Boston, MA 02108, on or before 12:00 p.m. on July 8, 2026 at which time and place respective general bids shall be opened and read aloud in person and virtually. See boston.gov/departments/public-facilities for more information. All are invited to attend.

Bids must be accompanied by a 5% bid bond deposit of the amount bid.

A performance and payment bond satisfactory to the Awarding Authority in the amount of 100% of the contract price, will be required of the successful bidder.

Plans and specifications are only available electronically and by requesting access for such through bid.info@boston.gov and will be available on or about June 15, 2026.  

Deadline for questions: June 30, 2026, by 12:00 noon. All questions must be submitted in writing directly to bid.info@boston.gov.

The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any and all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
