Boston Tree Alliance Grant Information Session

Applications for the next round of the Boston Tree Alliance (BTA) Tree Planting and Care Grant are now open! This virtual information session will be hosted by the BTA Project Team, including staff from the City of Boston Office of Climate Resilience and the Mass Audubon Nature Center. Join us to learn more about the grant program and application process.  

We’ll cover:

• Step-by-step guidance on how to apply
• Examples of successful past projects and overall program impact
• Q&A to answer your specific questions

Community-based organizations and non-profit organizations interested in securing funding for tree planting and care initiatives. Organizations are welcome to apply individually or in partnership with other groups.

About the Program

The Boston Tree Alliance Program provides grants and technical support to community-based organizations to plant and care for trees on privately owned land, working in partnership with Boston residents and property owners. Through the program, we aim to: 

• This project aims to:
• Reduce urban heat island impacts
• Reduce barriers to accessing the benefits of trees for residents
• Build awareness and competency of tree planting and care best practices through public engagement and education
• Advance the strategies identified in the Heat Plan and Urban Forest Plan
