    You are hereby notified that the Licensing Board for the City of the Boston in partnership with an interdepartmental team including, but not limited to, the Boston Fire Department, the Inspectional Services Department, the Boston Transportation Department, the Public Improvement Commission, the Department of Public Works, the Office of Economic Development, and the Mayor’s Office of of Neighborhood Services (the “Interdepartmental Team”) will hold two (2) virtual informational hearings regarding temporary heaters and outdoor dining.

    THE HEARINGS ARE NOT MANDATORY AND WILL BE RECORDED AND POSTED ON THE CITY’S WEBSITE.

    At each hearing, the Interdepartmental Team will provide an update and be available to answer questions regarding the extension of the outdoor dining season and the process and requirements for applying for temporary propane heaters.

    Capacity for each virtual hearing is limited due to technological constraints however, the hearings will be recorded and posted on the City’s website and the Interdepartmental Team will also be available via email and phone to answer any additional questions.

    The Emergency Informational Hearing will be held pursuant to M.G.L. ch. 30, s. 20, M.G.L. ch. 138, s. 12, 14, 15, 23, 34, and 77, M.G.L. ch. 140 s. 2, 9, and 177 and Governor Charles Baker’s executive order issued March 22, 2020, temporarily modifying certain requirements of the Open Meeting Law (M.G.L. ch. 30A s. 20) due to the ongoing public health crisis related to Covid-19 (coronavirus).
