Advance removal and depositing of mail-in voted ballots for the State Election
The City of Boston will be removing State Election mail-in voting ballots for partial precincts from their envelopes and depositing these ballots into a tabulator in the Iannella Chamber, City Hall, located at One City Hall Square, Room 550, Boston, MA 02201.
The Iannella Chamber shall remain open until close of the polls on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Only mail-in ballots received prior to Tuesday, November 3, 2020, will be removed and deposited in the Iannella Chamber.
Advance processing and removal will take place on the following days:
- Tuesday, October 27 through Friday, October 30, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Saturday, October 31, and Sunday, November 1, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Monday, November 2, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Tuesday, November 3, until completed
This process will be open for public observation. Due to COVID-19, the number of observers permitted in the Iannella Chamber may be limited.
