  2. COMMUNICATIONS FROM HIS HONOR, THE MAYOR:

    1424 Message and order for an approval of an appropriations of One Hundred Twenty-Three Million Fifty-Five Thousand Four Hundred Thirteen Dollars ($123,055,413.00) for the purpose of paying cost of the Boston Arts Academy, which is a new school facility to be built on the site of the current Boston Arts Academy located at 174 Ipswich Street in the City of Boston.

    1425 Message and order authorizing the acceptance of the provision of Section 3 of Chapter 64N of the General Laws, which allows a municipality that accepts that section to impose a local state tax of up to 3 percent upon the sale of transfer of marijuana or marijuana products by a recreational marijuana retailer. The Order also sets the rate of the local sales tax on marijuana at the maximum-allowed 3 percent rate.
