    Docket #0953 – Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Twenty Five Million Dollars ($25,000,000.00) in the form of a grant for the Commonwealth Builder Program, awarded by the Massachusetts Housing Partnership to be administered by the Department of Neighborhood Development. The grant will fund the creation of workforce homeownership housing units and the long-term availability of those units to eligible moderate-income households.

    Docket #0955 – Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Four Million Dollars ($4,000,000.00) in the form of a grant for the Allston-Brighton Homeowner Fund, awarded by the Boston Redevelopment Authority to be administered by the Department of Neighborhood Development. The grant will fund programming to foster affordable homeownership and homeowner stability in Allston Brighton.

    These matters are sponsored by the Mayor and were referred to the Committee on Housing and Community Development on September 15, 2021.

This enables the City Council to carry out its responsibilities while adhering to public health recommendations and ensuring public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.
