    Acquisitions, Dispositions and Agreements

    1) Vote to accept the transfer of a parcel of land located at 540 R Sumner Street in East Boston (Assessing PID # 0104418000), containing approximately 5,833 square feet, to the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, for park, playground and recreation purposes, as voted on by the Public Facilities Commission on October 20, 2021. Said parcel is to be incorporated into Joseph Porzio Park in East Boston.

    2) Vote to accept the transfer of a parcel of land known as a portion of Parcel NY-4 in the Charlestown Urban Renewal Area, also known as Parcel 5 of the Charlestown Navy Shipyard, also known as Thomas M. Menino Park, containing 5.6 acres, from the Boston Redevelopment Authority to the Boston Parks and Recreation Department, for park, playground and recreation purposes. This vote amends the acreage and plan of a previous vote of the Boston Parks and Recreation Commission that was made on June 24, 2013.

    3) Vote to authorize the Commissioner of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department to execute on behalf of the department, the “Memorandum of Agreement for the Menino Park A/K/A Parcel 5 in the Charlestown Navy Yard by and between the Boston Redevelopment Authority and Boston Parks and Recreation Department.”

    4) Vote to approve the disposition of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department’s rights of passage in a portion of the former Hospital Road right of way located at 1515 Commonwealth Avenue in Brighton, MA held by means of a grant of easement from Hahnemann Hospital to Massachusetts Memorial Hospitals dated August 16, 1937 and recorded with the Registry in Book 5695, Page 93; and in direct exchange for said disposition of land rights to accept the proposal of 1515 LLC which was provided in response to the City’s  request for proposals for the “Disposition of Land Rights in the form of Release of Easement Rights in the former Hospital Road ROW at 1515 Commonwealth Avenue, adjacent to Overlook Park (a.k.a. Fidelis Way Park), Brighton, Boston, MA” which proposal includes the terms set forth in the Easement Plan for 1515 Commonwealth Avenue by Feldman Land Surveyors dated November 10, 2021 conveying approximately 6858 square feet of easement area; a “Pedestrian Easement Agreement;” and a “Memorandum of Understanding for the Easement Area and Pedestrian Path at 1515 Commonwealth Avenue in Brighton.”

    5) Vote to authorize the Commissioner of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department to execute on behalf of the department, the “Pedestrian Easement Agreement” and the “Memorandum of Understanding for the Easement Area and Pedestrian Path at 1515 Commonwealth Avenue in Brighton.”
