Monument Square Landmark District Boundary Walk #1

The Monument Square Landmark District Study Committee will meet outside of 43 Monument Square to travel the boundary of the proposed Monument Square Landmark District.

The public can offer testimony.

  1. TRAVEL THE BOUNDARY OF THE PROPOSED MONUMENT SQUARE LANDMARK DISTRICT

    Direction and approximate schedule:

    • 8:00am-8:30am: Departing from 43 Monument Square, travel the proposed boundary as outlined in the Monument Square Landmark District petition #287.22 (around Monument Square in a counter-clockwise direction).
    • 8:30am-9:00am: Departing again from 43 Monument Square, travel down Pleasant St. to Warren St., then northeast on Lowney Way to Prospect St. 
      • Possible stop at Winthrop Square (Training Field).
    • 9:00am-9:30am: Travel northwest up Prospect St. to Bunker Hill St. Detour down Monument St. for one block. Then continue northwest to Green St.
    • 9:30am-10:00am: Travel southwest down Green St. / Elm St. toward Warren St. Return back along Pleasant St. to the starting point.
