Emergency Notice of Advance Processing and Removal of Early Voted Ballots for the November 3, 2026 State Election

Please take notice that the City of Boston will be removing State Primary ballots from their envelopes and depositing these ballots into a tabulator at Boston City Hall, One City Hall Square, Boston, MA 02201. The city will process ballots to the extent feasible during the dates and times listed below. The processing facility shall remain open until the close of the polls on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.

Advance processing and removal will take place on:

Date Location
Monday & Tuesday, October 26 and 27 from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm City Hall, Room 801
Wednesday, October 28, 2026 from 11:30 pm - 6:30 pm City Hall, Room 801
Thursday through Monday, October 29 - November 2 from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm City Hall, Room 801
Tuesday, November 3, 2026, from 8 am - until complete City Hall, Room 801

Ballots not deposited during this period will be sent to their respective precincts to be processed.

This process will be open for public observation.
