Tree removal hearing - Hyde Park

Parks and Recreation will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 2, at 11 a.m. on a request to remove three public shade trees on Hyde Park Ave. in Hyde Park.

The public can offer testimony.

  1. Request to remove three trees as follows: two Zelkova trees each measuring 2” in diameter at chest height and one linden tree measuring 12” in diameter at chest height, located at 931-941 Hyde Park Avenue in Hyde Park.

    The request is for the removal of three trees, two zelkova each measuring 2 inches and one linden measuring 12 inches dbh (diameter at breast height) due to a Water and Sewer Commission pipe renovation project at 931-941 Hyde Park Avenue.

    Public testimony will be taken at the hearing, or may be provided prior to the hearing in writing to the Tree Warden, Boston Parks and Recreation Department, 1010 Massachusetts Avenue, 3rd floor, Boston, MA 02118 or by emailing parks@boston.gov with “Hyde Park Tree Hearing” in the subject line.
