City Council Special Committee on the Community Preservation Act Hearing on Docket #1433

A hearing on Docket #1433, order that the City Council’s Special Committee on the Community Preservation Act hold interviews of finalists for appointment to the Community Preservation Committee. Pursuant to Chapter Four of the Ordinances of 2017, An Ordinance Creating the Community Preservation Committee, the City Council’s Special Committee on the Community Preservation Act is required to nominate four persons for consideration by the full City Council for appointment to the Community Preservation Committee. The purpose of the hearing is to consider the four individuals for appointment to the Community Preservation Committee.

    Order that the City Council’s Special Committee on the Community Preservation Act hold interviews of finalists for appointment to the Community Preservation Committee.  Pursuant to Chapter Four of the Ordinances of 2017, An Ordinance Creating the Community Preservation Committee, the City Council’s Special Committee on the Community Preservation Act is required to nominate four persons for consideration by the full City Council for appointment to the Community Preservation Committee.

    Pursuant to Chapter Four of the Ordinances of 2017, the following individuals shall be appointed to the Community Preservation Committee subject to confirmation by the City Council:

    Matthew J. Kiefer of 7 Cerina Road, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 for a term of one year;

    Kannan Thiruvengadam of 213 Webster Street #2, East Boston, MA 02128 for a term of two years;

    Madeligne Tena of 1 Parkman Place #1, Dorchester, MA 02122 for a term of three years; and,

    Ying Wang of 493 Hyde Park Avenue, Roslindale, MA 02131 for a term of three years.

    This matter was sponsored by Councilor Michael Flaherty and referred to the Committee on November 15, 2017.
