    1076 Message and order approving the appropriation of Five Million Four Hundred Twenty Nine Thousand Three Hundred and Four Dollars ($5,429,304.00) for the purpose of paying for the costs associated with window replacement project at the John Marshall Elementary School (UP Academy). This includes the payment of all costs incidental or related thereto, and for which the City of Boston may be eligible for a grant from the Massachusetts School Building Authority (“MSBA”), said amount to be expended under the direction of the Public Facilities Department on behalf of the Boston Public Schools.

    1077 Message and order approving appropriations of Six Hundred Thousand Dollars ($600,000.00) for the purpose of paying for the costs of a feasibility study and schematic design work associated with projects at the following schools: Rafael Hernandez School– boiler replacement, Patrick Lyndon School – boiler replacement, Donald McKay K-8 School – boiler replacement, James Otis School – window replacement, Josiah Quincy Elementary School – boiler replacement, Snowden International School at Copley- roof replacement and the John D. O'Bryant School of Mathematics and Science-window replacement. This includes the payment of all costs incidental or related thereto, and for which the City of Boston may be eligible for a grant from the Massachusetts School Building Authority (“MSBA”), said amount to be expended under the direction of the Public Facilities Department on behalf of the Boston Public Schools.

    1078 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Seventeen Million Two Hundred Twenty-Nine Thousand Four Hundred Ninety-Eight Dollars ($17,229,498.00) in the form of a grant for the Federal FY2018 Community Development Block Grant, awarded by the United States Department of Housing & Urban Development to be administered by the Department of Neighborhood Development. The grant will fund Housing Preservation and Production, Homebuyer and Homeowner Assistance programs, Human Services, Fair Housing, Environmental Abatement program, Main Streets and Business Assistance programs.

    1079 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Five Million Eight Hundred Sixty-Three Thousand Six Hundred Forty-Two Dollars ($5,863,642.00) in the form of a grant for the FFY18 Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) grant, awarded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to be administered by the Department of Neighborhood Development. The grant will fund development of affordable rental and homeownership housing units.

    1080 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Two Million Five Hundred Eighty-Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty-One Dollars ($2,588,781.00) in the form of a grant for the FFY18 Housing Opportunities for Person with AIDS (HOPWA) grant, awarded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to be administered by the Neighborhood Development. The grant will fund Housing related services to persons with HIV/AIDS, primary to provide tenant-based rental assistance.

    1081 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00) in the form of a grant from the Downtown Boston Business Improvement District (BID) Public/Private Safety Initiative, awarded by the Donor Group to be administered by the Police Department. The grant will fund the purchase and installation of video cameras and related equipment in the Downtown business area. The equipment will assist BPD with enhancing public safety and improving quality of life in the downtown area.

    1082 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) in the form of a grant for the CanShare 2018/2019, awarded by the Donor Group to be administered by the Boston Center for Youth and Families. The grant will fund matching and support the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Healthy Incentives Program and the new Boston Double Up Food Buck pilot program, through donations for an amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00). This funding will enable beneficiaries of these programs to double their buying power at Boston Farmer's Markets and select neighborhood convenience stores, providing greater access to fresh foods.

    1083 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) in the form of a grant for the Efficiency and Regionalization grant, awarded by the MA Department of Revenue to be administered by the Office of Economic Development. The grant will fund the Greater Boston Regional Economic Compact Cities to hire a consultant who will develop an Action Plan of operational projects based on overlapping needs expressed in the municipalities' community master plans.

    1084 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000.00) in the form of a grant for the Community Gardens Grant, awarded by TD Bank  to be administered by the Mayor's Office. The grant will fund the activation of community gardens and green spaces located in the City of Boston.

    1085 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) in the form of a grant for Phase ll of the Climate Ready Boston Initiative, awarded by the Barr Foundation to be administered by the Environment Department. The grant will fund a set of community-level resilience strategies recommended by the Boston Green Ribbon Commission to address climate risk.

    1086 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Thirteen Thousand Six Hundred Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents ($13,607.50) in the form of a grant awarded by the Pipefitter’s Association Local Union 537 to be administered by the Police Department. The grant will fund the installation of two (2) security cameras, one on Enterprise Street and one on Clapp Street.

    1087 Message and order to declare surplus City-owned former Public Works Department parcels of vacant land and the transfer of the care, custody, management and control of said property to the Public Facilities Commission.
