  1. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES:
  2. COMMUNICATIONS FROM HIS HONOR, THE MAYOR:

    1416 Message and order approving an appropriation of Eight Hundred Nine Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($809,500.00) from the Edward Ingersoll Browne Fund for projects described in the attached order. The Commissioners met on August 31, 2018, and voted to approve these projects. The projects will ornament the City’s streets, ways, squares and parks.

    1417 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) in the form of a grant. Play Around the Snowy City, awarded by Harvard Business School to be administered by the Mayor's Office. The grant will fund the Community of Practice on Play and the field of early childhood learning and development.

  3. REPORTS OF PUBLIC OFFICERS AND OTHERS:

    1418 Communication was received from Sally D. Glora, City Auditor; transmitting reports listing transfers made solely for the purpose of closing accounts for Fiscal Year 2018.

    1419 Notice was received from the Mayor of his absence from the City from 9:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 until 8:30 PM. on Tuesday, September 18, 2018.

  4. MATTERS RECENTLY HEARD-FOR POSSIBLE ACTION:

    1414 Order for a working session regarding the opioid crisis.

    1148 Message disapproving an ordinance amending Chapter 2 of the City of Boston Code, Ordinances, Regarding Lobbyist Registration and Regulation, (Docket #0987), passed by the City Council July 27, 2018. Along with this veto, I am filing a redrafted ordinance that I urge you to approve expeditiously.

    1149 Message and order approving a Home Rule Petition to the General Court entitled An Act to regulate Lobbying Activities before the City of Boston. This Home Rule Petition modifies Docket #0101, passed by your Honorable Body on June 27, 2018, which remains unsigned and will not be submitted to the General Court for consideration.

    1150 Message and ordinance amending CBC Ordinances, Chapter XVIII, 18-1.16 (Parkway or Street Occupancy Permit for Delivery Vehicles).

    0265 Order for a hearing regarding Vocational Education in the City of Boston.
