    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the grant of Four Hundred Ninety-Eight Thousand Two Hundred Ninety-one Dollars ($498,291.00) for the First Responders-Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act Cooperative Agreement, awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to be administered by the Fire Safety, Health and Wellness.

    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Two Million Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($2,250,000.00) in the form of a grant for the FY19 Boston Fire Department State Training Grant, awarded by the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services to be administered by the Fire Department.

Shannon, Jr. Community Safety Initiative, awarded by the MA Executive Office of Public Safety and Security to be administered by the Police Department.

    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount Three Hundred Five Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-Two Dollars ($305,362.00) in the form of a grant for the FY18 Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Site-Based Program, awarded by the United States Department of Justice to be administered by the Police Department.

    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Two Hundred Fifty-Seven Thousand Four Hundred Ninety-Two Dollars ($257,492.00) in the form of a grant, for the FY2018 DNA Capacity Enhancement and Backlog Reduction Program, awarded by the National Institute of Justice to be administered by the Boston Police Department. The grant will fund two Criminalist positions, overtime, lab supplies, and continuing education expenses.

    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Two Hundred Eighty Thousand Dollars ($280,000.00) in the form of a grant for the Safe & Successful Youth Initiative - Amendment FY18 and FY19, awarded by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services to be administered by the Boston Police Department.

    These matters were sponsored by Mayor Martin J. Walsh, and referred to the Committee on January 9, 2019, carried over from December 5, 2018 (Docket #0104), January 9, 2019 (Dockets #0108 #0112), January 30, 2019 (Dockets #0216 #0218 #0219), and March 13, 2019 (Docket #0503).
