Public Facilities Commission Meeting (MOH)

On March 28, 2025, Governor Healy approved an extension to remote and hybrid meeting options for public bodies established under Former Governor Baker's Executive Order of March 12, 2020, Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open Meeting Law through June 30, 2027. The Public Facilities Commission (PFC) will continue to conduct its meetings virtually and to ensure its public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.

The Lower Roxbury Slow Streets project began in 2019.  Through the planning process, the City worked with community members to prioritize these intersections for safety investments.  This year, we're building these safety improvements! We're upgrading crosswalks while making them safer and calming traffic throughout the neighborhood.

Publisher's Poetry Slam

Ten poets will be selected to compete at the Roxbury Poetry Festival in the Publisher’s Poetry Slam. The winning poet will have a chapbook published by Button Poetry!

To participate, submit your manuscript for consideration. Poets are to perform original work without the use of props, costumes or musical accompaniment. Poets should remain within the time limit designated for each round.

Submissions close on June 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Selected poets will be notified by June 16, 2026.
