PFD – SPECIALIZED MOVING SERVICES

Pursuant to M.G.L. c.30B, the City of Boston acting by its Public Facilities Commission, through its Director of the Public Facilities Department (PFD), hereinafter referred to as the Awarding Authority, hereby requests for (RFP) to qualify contractors for the above-entitled project.

The City of Boston Public Facilities Department (PFD) seeks a qualified specialized moving vendor to pack, transport, store, and return a selection of artifacts and City of Boston Archives collections from 201 Rivermoor Street in West Roxbury for the duration of the building's renovation. The items include, but are not limited to, rare books, records, maps, paintings, and other historical materials. Services include climate-controlled storage with barcode-level inventory control and integration with a library system interface, ongoing retrieval services, and return and reshelving of the collections in Spring 2027. All designated collections must be packed and removed from 201 Rivermoor Street by October 1, 2026.
