Project Goals

The development site involves 5 parcels of vacant, City-owned land located on Norwell Street and neighboring streets in Dorchester. Many of the parcels are suitable for development for new homeownership housing as part of the City's Neighborhood Homes Initiative (NHI). Under NHI, DND worked with abutters and community partners to define model home designs and development criteria for new mixed-income housing that was included in the housing Request for Proposals (RFP) that was released 10/4/21 with a submission deadline of 11/9/21.

The Mayor’s Office of Housing (DND) looks forward to presenting the preferred development team at an upcoming community meeting.
