Developer

Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston, Inc.

Project Goals

DND has tentatively designated Habitat for Humanity to develop these vacant land parcels. Working jointly with the local community, and after productive community meetings to define use, development and design objectives, DND issued a Request for Proposal for two vacant, city-owned Mission Hill parcels on March 17, 2017. These parcels, 725-727 Parker Street and 729 R Parker Street, are designated for the purpose of constructing two affordable housing units. Proposals for this project were received on April 28, 2017. DND held a community meeting on June 27 for eligible applicants to present their proposals, as part of DND's application review process, and prior to DND recommending developers for each site. Developer PowerPoint presentations from the June 27th meeting are included in DND's public website for review and comment. The project is slated to include 2 home ownership units. These 2 units will be offered as affordable housing and will include the following bedroom mix: (2) four bedroom units.
