Boston Retirement Board election

We're holding an election for the third and fourth members of the Retirement Board.

Election:

The Retirement Board is currently conducting an election for two Board positions.

TERM OF OFFICE:

October 1, 2017 – September 30, 2020

METHOD OF VOTING:

You may vote either online or by US mail.  Your online vote and ballot must be received no later than September 26, 2017.

Your ballot must be mailed to the address for Election-America, which is located on the back of the ballot, not at the Retirement Board in City Hall.  Election-America is located in Mineola, N.Y.  Please provide for time in transit when mailing your ballot.

MISSING BALLOTS:

We mailed ballots to all eligible voters on August 25, 2017.  Beneficiaries of deceased members are not eligible to vote.  If you have not received a ballot, please contact Jean Petitti at 617-635-3212 or email jean.petitti@boston.gov. We will have a ballot reissued immediately.

DIFFICULTY WITH ONLINE VOTING:

Some members have reported difficulty with the online voting option. Should you decide to vote online, the most common mistake we have seen is that voters try to use a search engine, such as Google, to locate the voting site. Instead, voters should type the voting URL directly into the address bar.  If you are still having difficulty with online voting, please contact Jean Petitti at 617-635-3212 or email jean.petitti@boston.gov. We will have a representative from Election-America contact you directly and walk you through the process.
