The series is hosted by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and sponsor America 250 with additional support from the Mayor’s Office of Tourism, Sports, and Entertainment.

Free popcorn will be provided while supplies last.

October Sky (1999) Before becoming a NASA engineer, Homer Hickam was a curious high-school student from West Virginia. When the Soviet Russia launched the first man-made satellite, Sputnik, in 1957, Homer and his friends began designing their own rockets with dreams of escaping their coal-mining town. PG.
