Kimberly (Kim) Sims is the Senior Manager of Employment, Payroll, and Development in the Office of Youth Employment and Opportunity (YEO). In this role, she oversees the Youth Fund that provides summer and school year employment for over 10,000 youth in the City of Boston. Born and raised in Boston and a proud product of the services provided by several of YEO's youth serving partners, Kim has a mission driven focus on supporting youth in their endeavors to explore and impact their communities while being introduced to the workforce. She has served in Boston's youth/human services industry for at least a decade in various roles including, supervising efforts to bridge the gap between Boston's youth, law enforcement, and the community; providing resources to youth in the foster care system as a Match Coordinator; and connecting youth in group home situations to support services and skills training as a Direct Care Worker. Kim also also has a background in human capital management .

Kim is also a proud parent of two, sibling of seven, and a huge lover of travel and dolphins! She looks forward to increasing the number of youth served by the City of Boston.
