Markus Wellington

Payroll Coordinator

Markus Wellington is the Payroll Coordinator in the Office of Youth Employment and Opportunity (YEO). Markus was born and raised in the City of Boston. As a young person, he participated in the Boston Summer Youth Jobs program, Bold Teens. Through this program, he found his passion for public service and recognized the positive impact youth jobs programs can have on a young person's life. Before joining the YEO team, Markus managed a tax office for 8 years while teaching/facilitating a tax advice class in the Hyde Park neighborhood. With his skills, dedication, and eagerness in his field, Markus is excited to support and assist Boston's young people who are navigating the employment process of the City's youth jobs programs.
