Inez joined the IGR team in 2012, working with City departments to identify funding sources, coordinate grant writing and secure local, state and federal support. She publishes The Funding Update, a bi-weekly listing of grants and fundraising resources, to over 5000 subscribers. Prior to this, she owned Write Direction Consulting and was an advisor to grantmakers and a consulting project manager for arts and literacy programs.
Her public sector experience also includes planning workforce development and youth development programs through evaluating Requests for Proposals, and managing adult education and job training grants at the Economic Development and Industrial Corporation of Boston. Inez has served as a paralegal at Greater Boston Legal Services, a human resources counselor for the Women’s Division of the Recruitment and Training Program, and a community organizer at Codman Square Health Center.
She has worked for major property and casualty insurance companies, including Allstate and American International Group.
Inez holds a BS in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University, a Masters in Public Administration from Suffolk University, and has done postgraduate studies at Tufts and MIT. She volunteers with a number of community-based organizations.
