Request a City of Boston Recycling Cart

The City of Boston provides recycle carts to eligible addresses. We limit cart drop-offs and replacements to one per calendar year.

Through the app, you can request a new cart, swap out a broken cart, or request a pick-up for a new cart.
You can only make one request a year. You will be given the option to pick from three different dates that coincide with your trash pickup days.
We will review and approve your request before sending a confirmation email for a pick-up or drop-off date. In that confirmation email, you have the option to change your date if something comes up.
