The City of Boston (Environment Department and Parks and Recreation Department) is conducting an Urban Wilds Strategic Plan update that will guide the strategic and sustainable growth of the Urban Wilds Program.

Drop in any time between 6pm-8pm to learn more about the Urban Wilds Program and this strategic planning process, and to share your thoughts!

RSVPs are not required, but are helpful as we plan the event!

The Urban Wilds Program, which is a partnership between the Parks and Recreation Department and the Boston Conservation Commission, protects, restores, and maintains 30 Urban Wilds across Boston for conservation, environmental education, and passive recreation. The plan will build on the 2002 Urban Wilds and Natural Areas Management Plan to provide updated recommendations on best practices for recreation and resource management, staffing and budget structures, acquisition criteria, and program identity and awareness to support the future of the Urban Wilds program.
