Cummins Highway Construction Update: March 2025
We expect to make significant progress on building new curb and sidewalk on Cummins Highway, pending any unforeseen subsurface issues, periods of inclement weather or supply delays. Curb and sidewalk reconstruction comes with the most significant pedestrian impacts on the project.
The majority of construction work with high impacts to pedestrian access is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. Final work required to fully close out the construction will be completed in 2026, but is expected to have fewer pedestrian impacts.
In 2026, the contractor will continue to work on landscaping, green infrastructure, final milling, and paving, and finishes such as bus stops and benches. These activities may involve intermittent sidewalk closures, or lane closures during work hours.
