Cummins Highway Construction Update: September 2025

Through September, we will continue installing new curb and green infrastructure from Greenfield Road/Weybosset Street to Woodhaven Street.

Major work on the project between the Wood Avenue/Harvard Street intersection and Woodhaven Street is planned to wrap up this fall. In this segment, major elements of the street are now taking shape.

Green infrastructure is a term for stormwater management that uses natural materials to remove pollutants and absorb water back into the ground.  On Cummins, these areas will have a subsurface layer of permeable rock material and raised drains to absorb stormwater.
