Traffic Advisory for Thursday - Sunday, August 18 - 21, 2016

Fisherman's Feast in the North End, concerts at Fenway Park, and other weekend events.

 

The Fisherman’s Feast in the North End, concerts at Fenway Park and other events taking place around Boston this weekend will impact traffic and parking on local streets.  BTD suggests that people attending these events refrain from driving their personal vehicles into the city.  Information on Hubway, the regional bike-share service, may be found at www.thehubway.com and information on the MBTA may be found at www.mbta.com.  For a faster return trip, the MBTA advises riders to purchase a round trip rather than a one-way ticket.

The Fisherman’s Feast will last throughout the weekend.  Streets to be closed to traffic are:

  • Fleet Street, entirely
  • North Street, North Square to Clark Street
  • Lewis Street, entirely
  • Fulton Street, Richmond Street to Lewis Street.

The hours that these closures will be in effect are:

  • Thursday, August 18, from 5 PM – 11 PM
  • Friday, August 19, from 5 PM – 11 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday, August 20 and 21, from 12 PM – 11 PM.

Tow Zone No Stopping Boston Police Special Event parking restrictions will be in effect through Sunday as follows:

  • Lewis Street, Moon Street to Commercial Street
  • Fulton Street, Richmond Street to Lewis Street
  • North Street, North Square to Clark Street
  • Clark Street, North Street to Commercial Street
  • Fleet Street, Hanover Street to Commercial Street
  • Garden Court Street, Hanover Square to Fleet Street
  • Moon Street, North Square to Fleet Street.

Concerts at Fenway Park will require Tow Zone No Stopping Boston Police Special Event Thursday, Saturday and Sunday parking restrictions as follows:

  • Brookline Avenue, Overland Street to Lansdowne Street
  • Overland Street, even side, Brookline Avenue to Yawkey Way Extension
  • Boylston Street, south side from opposite Ipswich Street to Brookline Avenue
  • Lansdowne Street, Brookline Avenue to Ipswich Street
  • Ipswich Street, Fenway Park side, Lansdowne Street to Boylston Street
  • Van Ness Street, Ipswich Street to Kilmarnock Street
  • Yawkey Way, Van Ness Street to Brookline Avenue
  • Richard B. Ross Way, Van Ness Street to Boylston Street.

Tow Zone No Parking Reserved for HP-DV Parking Only Thursday, Saturday and Sunday parking restrictions will also be required as follows:

  • Boylston Street, Ipswich Street to Kilmarnock Street
  • Yawkey Way, Boylston Street to Van Ness Street
  • Overland Street, odd side, Brookline Avenue to Yawkey Way Extension.

Additional streets that will be closed to traffic for events taking place this weekend are as follows:

Friday, August 19

  • Brookview Street, Dorchester, between #2 and #23 Brookview Street, from 11 AM - 4 PM for a neighborhood event
  • Allston Street, Allston, between Long Avenue and Glenville Street, from 4 PM – 8 PM, for a Boys and Girls Club event

Saturday, August 20

  • Groom Street, Dorchester, between Humphreys Street and Hillsboro Street, from 1 PM – 7 PM, for a back to school event
  • Thoreau Path, West End, between Storrow Drive and Cardinal O’Connell Way, from 8 AM - 5 PM, for the West End Children’s Festival
  • Harold Street, Roxbury, between Ruthven Street and Abbottsford Street, from 10:30 AM - 7 PM, for a community event
  • Vassar Street, Dorchester, between Carmen Street and Washington Street, from 10 AM to 5 PM, for a neighborhood event
  • Elm Hill Park, Roxbury, from 12 PM – 8 PM, for a neighborhood event
  • Homestead Street and Pleasanton Street, Roxbury, between Elm Hill Avenue and Ruthven Street, from 8 AM - 8 PM, for a neighborhood clean up
  • Walnut Avenue, Roxbury, between Rockland Street and St. Richards Street/Circuit Street, from 12 PM – 6 PM, for a back to school event
  • Waldren Road, Roxbury, between Westminster Avenue and Walnut Park, from 12 PM – 4 PM
