Essential Worker Childcare Fund

Essential workers in health care, education, and construction are critical to the City of Boston’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. This grant application will increase the ability of essential workers to find, access, and pay for early childhood programming, including childcare.

The Office of Early Childhood will provide grants to applicants in the City of Boston that:

  • Increase the number of childcare providers who offer non-traditional hours. 
  • Provide support for families and childcare providers that address additional burdens related to non-traditional hours
