Transit Priority Corridors

We are studying key MBTA bus routes in order to improve the experiences of bus riders, from your wait at the bus stop to the reliability of the bus.

This program is kicking off with studies of the:

  • Route 39-Forest Hills Station/Back Bay Station, and
  • Route 57-Kenmore Station/Watertown Yard buses.

For more information on those specific routes, visit our project pages linked below!

We want to ensure that all bus riders are able to wait comfortably at their bus stops and board the bus safely.

Reliability

We will look at infrastructure and signal improvements to help buses run on schedule.

Time Savings

We will study where the buses are currently experiencing delays along their routes. We'll also explore solutions to save time for bus riders.
