A Beginner's Guide to Home Repair

What are the best tools to have in your toolbox for basic home repair tasks? How to safely take out your window AC unit at the end of summer or clean your gutters to prepare for fall? Join the Boston Home Center for A Beginner's Guide to Home Repair on Saturday, August 1st from 1:00-3:00 PM to help you better answer these questions!

The workshop will first cover basic home systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and exterior. Learn basic terminology about the systems that run your home. Next, we will dive into the key tools you should have to be prepared for home repair tasks like how to change the drill bit on an electric drill, and how to set up a ladder against your home. Finally, we’ll tackle an August based theme of weatherization where you’ll learn how to safely clean your gutters and uninstall a window AC unit.
