North Square
Public Works is making site improvements to North Square in the North End.
North Square is one of Boston’s oldest occupied neighborhoods. It's also part of a vibrant community fabric in the North End. About four million tourists visit North Square each year. Popular sites in the area include:
- the Paul Revere House, and
- the Freedom Trail.
As part of the revitalization of North Square, we want to develop an open space with multiple urban uses. Our goal is to improve the ability for people to enjoy the square. We plan to develop North Square's identity as a cultural destination accessible to all. Community and stakeholder input and concerns will also be an important part of this project.
