Message and order approving an appropriation of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00) from the City’s Capital Grant Fund to address the impact of transportation network services on municipal roads, bridges, and other transportation infrastructure or any other public purpose substantially related to the operation of transportation network services in the city, to be credited to the Capital Grant Fund from the Commonwealth Transportation Infrastructure Enhancement Trust Fund.
Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Fifty- Five Million Dollars ($55,000,000.00) in the form of a grant, awarded by the United States Department of Treasury to be administered by the City of Boston’s Chief Financial Officer/Collector Treasurer. This grant payment is made from the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (CLFRF) in the Treasury of the United States established by Section 9901 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA).
Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Fifty Million Dollars ($50,000,000.00) in the form of a grant, awarded by the United States Department of the Treasury to be administered by the City of Boston’s Chief Financial Officer/Collector Treasurer. This grant payment is made from the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (CLFRF) in the Treasury of the United States established by Section 9901 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA).
Docket #0725, message and order approving an increase of the cost-of-living adjustment ("COLA") base from $14,000.00 to $15,000.00 for all retirees and beneficiaries of the Boston Retirement System.
These matters were sponsored by the Administration, and was referred to the Committee on June 23, 2021 (Dockets #0801-0805, 0810), May 26, 2021 (Docket #0687), and June 9, 2021 (Docket #0725).

In accordance with Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021, modifying certain requirements of the Open Meeting Law and relieving public bodies of certain requirements, including the requirement that public bodies conduct its meetings in a public place that is open and physically accessible to the public, the City Council will be conducting this hearing virtually. This enables the City Council to carry out its responsibilities while adhering to public health recommendations and ensuring public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means.
