Looking for a free, fun activity to enjoy with the kids? Join us this summer for one of our STEM and Emergency Preparedness workshops hosted by a local teachers and city staff in various parks throughout the City of Boston.

They're held Mondays in July and August and run from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Join us for exciting hands-on STEM activities that spark curiosity and creativity. Explore interactive hand on learning experiences while discovering the importance of youth preparedness. Learn about hazards, how to call 911 and how to prepare for emergencies with the Office of Emergency Management!

This series is completely free and open to Boston residents. These workshops will take place in various parks throughout the City of Boston.

Registration is encouraged so we know how many supplies to bring (pre-registration is required for groups of 8 or more). Please email allison.singer2@boston.gov to register.

Mayor Wu’s Neighborhood Coffee Hours are a unique opportunity to speak directly with the Mayor and staff from City departments about open space and their neighborhoods. If there are inclement weather conditions, the time and location may change to an indoor location and will be reflected on boston.gov/events.

A neighborhood staple known for bringing the community together over a cup of coffee, Dunkin’ is back to fuel the conversation with iced coffee and donuts. Dunkin’ will also provide lawn game activities for attendees, gift card giveaways, and the opportunity for residents to win a raffle prize. Free flowering plants will be provided by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and fresh fruit will be provided by Star Market, while supplies last.
