Boston Pride Kick-Off

The City of Boston and Office of LGBTQ+ Advancement will be celebrating National LGBTQ+ Pride month by hosting, supporting, and amplifying events that serve the local Queer community.

June 1, 2022

To kick off the month, the City will be lighting up Boston City Hall in rainbow colors which will remain lit for the majority of the month of June. There will be a brief speaking program which includes remarks from the Mayor and LGBTQ+ community members about the commitment to equity and equality in Boston for all LGBTQ+ communities.

Following the remarks, there will be live performances from local LGBTQ+ artists offering a safe space on City Hall property where everyone has an opportunity to come together in an uplifting and welcoming environment. This kickoff event will also serve to amplify other Pride events being held throughout the month.

The City of Boston’s theme for this event will be “PRIDE: Past, Present, and Future!”
