Environment and sustainability

We work on issues related to the environment, and how they affect the lives of Boston residents.

Committee chair: Councilor O'Malley

Vice chair: Councilor Baker

Members: Councilor CiommoCouncilor LaMattina, and Councilor Pressley

Our committee focuses on:

  • air, land, and water pollution
  • recycling and sustainability
  • waste disposal and land improvement, and
  • energy savings and efficiency.

We oversee the Environment Department and trash and recycling operations under Public Works.
