Environment, Sustainability, and Parks

We work on issues related to the environment and how they affect the lives of Boston residents.

Our committee focuses on:

  • air, land, and water pollution
  • recycling and sustainability
  • waste disposal and land improvement, and
  • energy savings and efficiency.

We oversee the Environment Department and trash and recycling operations under Public WorksWe also play a part in designing new and existing parks and playgrounds in Boston.
