Innovation and Technology summer fellowships

The Department of Innovation and Technology is now accepting applications for its 2020 summer fellowship program!

The deadline for our summer 2020 applications is February 1. This fellowship will run from June 22 to August 14.

Fellowships are an opportunity to make an impact on Boston residents. We are looking for fellows that are thoughtful students, interested in municipal government. As a member of our team, you will have a direct effect on how people view Boston. You’ll also help shape the future of our City.

You are not required to be a resident of Boston for this fellowship. However, you must be physically present at Boston City Hall during the week to perform fellowship tasks.

Applications

We are excited that you are interested in joining our team. You’ll help us improve how the community interacts with our government online, and even in-person. In this section, you will find links to our 2020 Summer Fellowship Applications. Remember, you can apply to more than one fellowship with us.

Our fellows play a vital role in creating tangible outcomes, including:

  • piloting different technologies and tools
  • connecting with constituents, and
  • testing innovative approaches to solving problems.

We’ll consider you for the role that best fits your experience and interests. In all of these roles, you will apply and develop your skills while working on high-impact, high-visibility projects.
