Public comment

The Department of Neighborhood Development (DND) is proposing to amend its Program Year 2019 Action Plan to apply for, accept, and expend a supplemental allocation in the amount of $449,562 provided under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act).  These funds are to be used by Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) grantees to maintain operations and for rental assistance, supportive services, and other necessary actions in order to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The HOPWA amendment is posted online.

Citizen Comments from May 27 to June 1 are encouraged and can be submitted by email to: dndcomments@boston.gov or by calling: 617-635-3880 between the hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  The complete PY2019 Action Plan and Amendments are posted online.
