Columbus / Tremont Safer Streets and Faster Buses

We are collaborating with the MBTA to provide multimodal transportation and safety improvements on Columbus Avenue and Tremont Street between Jackson Square and Ruggles

The MBTA, with support from the City of Boston, is advancing the Columbus Tremont Safer Streets & Faster Buses project to strengthen street safety for all users, improve bus travel times and reliability, expand access to the Orange Line, and upgrade the public realm.

The project area extends from Jackson Square along Columbus Ave, north to the Roxbury Crossing area, and continues north along Tremont St to Ruggles. It also includes improvements to the Southwest Corridor crossings at Heath Street, Cedar Street, Tremont Street, and Prentiss Street.
