Small Community Grants Trust Program

The Small Community Grants Trust program funds non-profit organizations that work with and for the people of Boston, providing immediate and direct impact in a number of program areas.

What are the small community grants?

The Trust Office manages over 300 individual trusts, many of which are for a very specific purpose and generate a small amount of money each year. We’ve grouped a number of these small trusts into the Small Community Grants Program so that we can honor the intentions of the donors by efficiently granting the funds to benefit Bostonians.

Application Information

Applicants in the Fall 2025 Round will need to create an organization profile on WizeHive in order to apply for a Small Community Grant. The profile is easily editable and will help streamline our application process. The City Grantmaking About Us page will guide you through creating a profile. This page includes instructions for creating a City of Boston supplier ID, which is not required to apply but is required for organizations that are selected for grants. If you have questions about WizeHive or need assistance with your profile please reach out to the Grants team at grants@boston.gov, subject line "WizeHive profile".
