The City of Boston is creating a number of innovative initiatives to close gender pay gaps and empower women entrepreneurs.

Closing the wage gap is complex. To solve a complex problem, we must apply a multi-pronged approach that addresses both policy and culture. That’s exactly what we’ve done in Boston.

The Boston model works with both employers and individuals. We navigate the current climate and change systems to promote gender equity. We also advocate for legislation to uphold equal pay practices.
