Rookie Rugby in Allston
The Parks and Recreation Department, working with the Massachusetts Youth Rugby Organization, is offering a Rookie Rugby Program.
Players will learn the safe, non-contact, flag version of rugby, the fastest growing youth team sport in US and a recognized varsity sport in Massachusetts high schools this spring. They will be taught the basics of the game in a safe, active and supportive environment. Skills that they will learn include:
- ball handling
- running with the ball
- catching and passing
- teamwork, and
- sportsmanship.
